Maymont’s wildly popular camps offer outdoor adventures, animal encounters, games, crafts and hands-on activities for young nature explorers. Sign up early – they fill up fast! A 50% non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required. Registration accepted by phone only at 804-358-7166, ext. 324 or ext. 333.  

GROWING UP GREEN
Tuesday-Friday, 9am-12pm
Session 1: May 27-30
Session II: June 3-6
Session III: June 10-13
Session IV: July 22-25
Session V: July 29-August 1
Small explorers discover the wonders of nature as they study birds, turtles, dinosaurs, insects and farm animals. For children ages 4-5.  $110 per child/$100 for members.

YOUNG NATURALIST
Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm
Session 1: June 16-20
Session II: June 23-27
Session III: August 11-15
Nature Calls! Nature lovers study the ponds and streams of Maymont, hike the grounds and learn about Virginia’s native animals and plants. The world of birds, bugs and reptiles comes to life for kids through hands-on activities, fun games and crafts. For children ages 6-8. $120 per child/$110 for members.

JAMES RIVER RUNNERS
Monday-Friday, 9am-3pm
Session I: July 7-11 (for ages 7-10)
Session II: July 14-18 (for ages 8-12)
Session III: August 4-8 (for ages 7-10)
Our all-day camp features the natural wonders found in and around the James River. Kids investigate river creatures including turtles, fish and Maymont's playful otters while learning how the mighty James River effects our everyday lives. Campers will also hike, meet native animals, and picnic on the grounds. Campers must provide their own lunch; snacks and drinks provided. $220 per child/$200 for members.
