GET INVOLVED

Donations & Sponsorships

Thank you for your interest in Maymont’s donation and sponsorship opportunities.

Maymont has played a major role in the Richmond community for more than a century – first as the home of prominent businessman James Dooley; now as a park and museum complex. Bequeathed by the Dooleys for the “use and pleasure” of Richmond-area citizens, Maymont is open to everyone, admission-free.

Maymont does not have a general endowment or daily admission revenue. Yet its annual operating budget is more than $3 million. So your contribution really does make a difference. It is only with your help that the Maymont Foundation can continue to maintain and preserve Maymont’s 100 acres of history, habitats and horticulture and offer educational programs, tours, exhibits, special events and a priceless, admission-free experience to all of our visitors.

Please lend your support today!

Annual Fund Donations
Your donation to the annual fund supports the general operational needs of Maymont. Donors who make gifts of $100 or more to any campaign are entitled to Maymont member benefits. Donors whose gifts to the annual fund total $1,000 or more are recognized as members of the Peacock Society. Peacock Society members receive special recognition and opportunities to enjoy unique events throughout the year.

Tree and Bench Memorials
Maymont is the perfect place to honor a loved one or mark a special occasion. Maymont’s horticulture department strives to maintain the grounds as they were when the Dooleys lived at Maymont, and have identified specific needs to accomplish this goal. Your gift could help plant a new tree or add a wrought iron and wood scroll bench, complete with a bronze memorial plaque.
